This week, we’re playing one of our favourites: Comic Book Cards Against Humanity! You know how this works: one of us reads a “call” card with a blank space on it, and the other two try to fill in the blank with the funniest thing we can using our “response” cards. And we wrote all the cards, so it’s going to be gross, because we’re gross, gross people. Enjoy, won’t you? Enjoy it in video mode, even! Bam!
Oh, and hey! Here’s our codes! Sign up for Massive Decks, and then put these codes in to use our cards!

Shocking news, everyone: it’s DECEMBER! But at least we’ve got some holiday specials to enjoy – starting with the Guardians of the Galaxy one that came out recently! Let’s watch that and talk about it, huh?
But that may not be enough holiday spirit for us, so let’s also pitch some special presentations of our own! Imagine, if you will: Nathan Fillion finally joins the MCU in an ULTRA cheery story straight out of the 1991 Marvel Holiday Special! Werewolf By Night and Man-Thing fend off burglars in a monster-ized “Home Alone” style adventure! A holiday card from The Thing kicks off a bizarre claymation-animated odyssey straight outta Marvel Two-In-One! Miserly Bruce Wayne is plagued by ghost Robins in a Wayne Manor Christmas Carol! Are you ready for… the Twelve Nights of What If…? And there are plenty more under the podcast tree!
Wakanda Forever ….. or for a little while at least on this podcast as we delve into our reactions to the newest Marvel Black Panther flick! Spoiler alertage! But we begin with a Merk Quiz about quotes from bad comic book movies…..can you beat Bry & Kyle’s scores?!?! Plus news about Steve Ditko’s private comic collection coming up for auction, a new DC Ukranian superhero and we talk about James Gunn …. and all the stuff he says…. and does…..
Join us, won’t you?
Happy 30th Anniversary, Capwolf! It’s hard to believe it’s been 30 years already. To celebrate, we take this opportunity to talk all about those times when super heroes also become monsters. Frankencastle! Vampire Batman! We also make some of our own up, because, darn it, we’re fun, and we’re worth it!
This week, everything’s gone topsy-turvy! DCEU actors in the MCU! Mass hysteria! But with so many Marvel characters to be cast, and so many taken already, eventually every franchise actor will get The Call from Kevin Feige. The question is, who do DC’s biggest stars play when it’s time to take a walk on the Marvel side? The only rules are: it has to be a character who hasn’t been cast in the MCU yet, and any DCEU actor who’s already made the jump to Marvel Studios is off the board. Hey, we’re no Sarah Finn, but we have some fun here!
We haven’t seen Shang-Chi yet, so instead we’re doing another exciting LIGHTNING ROUND! Join us for so many mini-topics you’re guaranteed* to find something you love! Comic characters hosting podcasts! A quiz about quizzes! New kid sidekicks for Wolverine! New “Batman ’89” style comics based on long-dead comic movies! A remote-recorded version of a 1991 Marvel Trading Card game! A “Read This Now” profile on “Memetic” by James Tynion IV, Eryk Donovan and Adam Guzowski! Collection treasures that we regret selling or losing! And an all-new segment about comic characters’ kinks! We really ended the episode with that one! Listen, we can prove it!!
Another brand new podcast episode!
Shocking news! GASP!
Fun games! WOW!
Exhilarating stories! HUZZAH!
We’ve got it all, from controversial news across the pond, to a hilarious (and slightly gross) game of Character Storm (with a special Masters of the Universe spin) until we get to the main game! A dramatic read of FANTOMAH MYSTERY WOMAN OF THE JUNGLE by Fletcher Hanks! And that alone is worth the price of admission… which is free…. so yea…. c’mon in!
We’re all extremely ill with Olympics fever this week, and the only cure for Olympic fever? Our own Olympics, with Jughead, and Bumblebee, and Randy Quaid! Listen in as we argue over which of our clearly-not-thought-through champions deserves the gold in some of the worst events to not be in the “official” games (including some that used to be events, but got the boot)!
Plus, we’ve got a warmup of all-butler Olympics (all-butlers!), and all the news you can handle!
QUITTERS!! The lot of ’em!!! That’s what superheroes are! And that’s what we’re talking about this week. Can you think of a hero that hasn’t, even for just a short bit, called it quits? It’s a small list. From Tony Stark and the sauce, Daredevil and his law career, Wonder Woman getting sick of life off Paradise Island, to Spidey and…. well…. every five minutes, heroes love to quit. We delve deep. Who quit and became a blind bartender? Who quit and became Black Beard? And so many more. Plus we talk news! There are comic cons going on soon….. uh….. ok. Black Panther delays. Jeff Lemire’s Sweet Tooth show. And Merk delves into manga (a new thing for him) in a ‘read this now’. So don’t quit now! You’re almost there! Sit back, relax, click that button and listen to Kraven the Deli Owner serve up a lil’ bite of deligh …. ah… quit it.
SUPER-PETS ASSEMBLE! This one’s all about the animal sidekicks in our lives… except not ours, fictional characters’! Which super-pets are our favourites? What comic characters need their own animal companions, and who would they be? And what happens if superhero pets trade humans?
BUT ALSO! Oscar Issac is Moon Knight!? A new Ghost Rider! Chris Claremont writes! The Last Ronin sells! And in response to a Kurt Busiek tweet, let’s pitch some X-Men duo books!
