304: Shuma-Gorath Does Laundry on Mondays

This week, we’re tumbling out of bed and stumbling to the kitchen, pouring ourselves a cup of ambition, and yawning, stretching, and talking about super heroes with day jobs. From the ones with crappy jobs, like Hal Jordan selling toys door to door and Captain America being an artist for Marvel Comics pre-creators’ rights, to the ones we wish characters had, like Batman’s Discovery Channel hit, Keeping up with the Waynes, or Doctor Strange turning the Sanctum Sanctorum into a rooming house.

It even takes over our Warm Up, where we try to give jobs to a bunch of characters who don’t really have prescribed ones (spoiler: a lot of them just end up as bouncers at a strip club). And there’s news! You knew that! Get back to work!

299: Jim “Shooter” McGavin – A Zero Hour Tie-In

Come hang out until the clock hits 300! We’ve also got all kinds of comic news (Loki season two! Batman ’89 approaches! Jameela Jamil fights She-Hulk! Hasbro’s gigantic Galactus!) and explore some very real hidden easter eggs and surprises everyone else missed from Loki and Black Widow!

It’s resurrection time!! This week we talk about the age ol’ comic traditions of coming back from the dead! Sometimes done well, and sometimes…..not. And sometimes it’s Aunt May. Join us as we resurrect this podcast each week!

We of course are focusing on the MARVEL next phase announcements! SO MANY!!! Sure we knew about a lot of this, upcoming films & series, but there were A LOT of reveals of tidbits, whether it be casting news (she hulk, Ms Marvel, Hawkeye and beyond) or brand new announcements we had no clue about (FF, Secret Avengers, Ironheart, Armor Wars….). 239: I’m Weisz to You

So, this episode gets a little weird, for some reason! We’ve got some really interesting news about the current state of the comic book industry, and Merk has a very fun quiz, but then, in our main segment, which is supposed to be all about the current changes that are being, by necessity, forced on the MCU, the audio has been completely corrupted and

233: Colossus’s Magical Death Stench

In a very, very topical turn of events, this week’s episode is all about diseases and viruses in comic books. So, from the safety of our various bunkers (no, really, we’re all recording remotely, just like a real podcast!), we bring you the sickest episode yet. Do we talk about the Legacy Virus? Uh, you know it. The Clench? Yessuh. D…Death Stench? Yes, though I am honestly not sure why.

Heck, even our Warmup is disease infested, as we do the nastiest Character Storm to date. That, and an earful of news about the many shakeups that the comics industry is going through right now!

156: Avengers Infinity Sex Worker

So we’re almost at the end of this HUUUUGE arc for the MCU. What’s next? Where can they go from here? What stories can they tell? And can we get Quasar killed in a movie already?!? It’s a shorty episode where we delve into what we they they can do next for the big movies, Netflix & other series for Marvel. Have you ever wished for a Jeremy Piven Hawkeye series….? We’re not sure about that either. What new characters can be introduced to the big & small screens? Bry is ‘all about the D-Man’ apparently. And we gush with excitement over the idea of She-Hulk. That and LOTS more jammed into this 30 minute ride! Bring your Loonatics shirt. No, seriously. Kyle just keeps talking about them. Over and over and over and…..

146: Enjoy Your Chili Fries… in Hell!

Avengers: Infinity War comes out… wow, tomorrow? But the hype is SO big that we’re here to help you get through the next 24 hours, by dropping the Avengers into other movies to see how they’d handle ‘em! We’ve got Hawkeye in Die Hard, Captain America’s harrowing journey in Trainspotting, Michael Rooker as Yondu in Mallrats, and oh jeez, just so much more!

ALSO: We cook up a ridiculous crossover event on the fly by randomly selecting 1991 Marvel trading cards, and perform an extra-special dramatic reading of the issue where the Avengers met David Letterman! Giant doorknobs abound!

Episode 17: Women in Comics – Going to GregLand!

Holy moly, this episode is about feminism, because some man decided that we all needed to see Spider-Woman’s butt. So we’re doing it! We talk about underlying problems in comics, and some of the people that are fighting to change them. We also make Merk (and you? And you!) read Shortpacked!, pitch a great-sounding Black Widow movie, and did somebody say quotes from the internet?
